Our Background
Dawn Hynes, president of Hynes Associates, has spent her career in the Retirement and Investment Business. Her experience spans all market segments.
Beginning her career in the large pension market, Dawn headed up the retirement marketing efforts of a leading financial services organization. Launching the firm’s entrance into the full-service retirement business, Dawn directed national program strategy, product development, packaging and positioning for all market segments (e.g., large/jumbo, mid and small). Her experience spans DB and DC plans in the corporate, public and not-for-profit sectors.
Prior to establishing Hynes Associates, Dawn was Vice President of the Small-Mid Market Retirement Plan Business for the MetLife Defined Contribution Group. She started the company’s business in the under $30 million retirement plan marketplace, and built it from the ground-up, delivering double and triple-digit sales growth, dramatic distribution expansion (including major private label alliance arrangements), and the introduction of new product lines to fuel continued growth.
Dawn has a substantial on-the-ground track record of developing, implementing and overseeing vast multi-channel distribution systems – both registered and unregistered. In total, she built a retirement plan distribution system consisting of over 11,000 retirement plan producers, and developed market-driven products and producer supports that “connected” with this intermediary driven, market, and yielded results. Ms. Hynes has extensive knowledge of the systems, platforms, products and channels of distribution associated with the retirement and investment business.
She was also named to the company’s small group of Chairman’s Council Producers and Managers. And she was appointed by the Chairman to head up Enterprise efforts to integrate four of the firm’s small to mid-market retirement businesses.
Ms. Hynes is a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU). She also holds a Life & Health license.
